STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Ken Tirado has joined Staten Island Arts as a board member, the organization's executive director, Christopher Hellstrom, said Monday. CBRE GI buying spree continues, adds two German malls

In two separate deals, CBRE Global Investors has bought two malls in Germany, the Glacis-Galerie in Neu-Ulm in Bavaria for €145m, and the Sevens Shopping Centre in Düsseldorf, for which the purchase price was not disclosed.

Germany needs to limit the number of refugees it takes in or even close its borders, conservative allies of German Chancellor Angela Merkel said at the weekend, as the country deals with record inflows of people fleeing from war and poverty. The U.S. Sailboat Show comes to town this week with increased ticket sales and a renewed effort to attract young people. Despite rainy weather, the floating docks are in place at City Dock in Annapolis and the first of 200 sailboats are expected today.
