Police arrest armed men at German school

Police said at around 2:30pm that the Heid-Tech school and all its pupils were secure, Südwest Presse reported from the small town near the Bavaria-Baden-Württemberg border. "There's no reason to be afraid," a police spokesman told the local newspaper. Despite rumours, no-one was killed and "we have the situation in hand." Vatican to set up Xmas crib & tree early

(ANSA) - Vatican City, November 17 - The traditional Christmas crib and tree in St. Peter's Square will be set up early this year for the start of Pope Francis' special Jubilee Year of Mercy on December 8, the Vatican said on Tuesday.    This year's tree is a red fir donated by Bavaria.
