Juliane Cottrill

Juliane Cottrill, of Columbia, died March 26, 2015, at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital. She was 87.

Graveside services were held Saturday March 28, 2015, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia.

Mrs. Juliane Jungwirth Cottrill was born July 29, 1927, in St. Marienkirchen, Austria. She was the daughter of the late Alois and Maria Pilsner Jungwirth. Juliane was Bavarian and was reared in Bavaria, the German-speaking area of the Alps in Europe. Mrs. Cottrill worked full-time most of her life while keeping an immaculate house. Her labor of love was her garden, which she kept as neatly as the home she reared her sons in.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Dail O. Cottrill, who was a prisoner of war and WWII veteran, along with her parents.

Left to cherish precious memories are her sons, Bruce Cottrill and Elton and Ralph Johnson; granddaughter, Sonia Fowler; great-grandson, Brayden Fowler; and a host of other relatives and friends in Bavaria.

Please leave online condolences for the family at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home.
