FORT LAUDERDALE — German engineering. That’s what Bavaria Yachts CEO Constantin von Buelow thinks will draw Americans to his company’s motoryachts.

Bavaria, Europe’s No. 2 boatbuilder, is bringing its yachts into the United States for the first time, where they’re debuting at the Fort Lauderdale show. The German company is entering the market with its Sport 39, Sport 44 and Virtess 42, von Buelow said.

“They’re German-engineered, a quality product — long-lasting, functional, very reliable,” he said, just like Bavaria’s other big-name manufacturer: automaker BMW.
