Jak wynika z danych opublikowanych w piątek przez Międzynarodową Organizację ds. Migracji (IOM), od początku bieżącego roku 724 tys. osób podjęło próbę przeprawy przez Morze Śródziemne do Unii Europejskiej. Ok. 3330 migrantom nie udało się dotrzeć do wybrzeży Europy.
