Coventry's Oktoberfest is fast approaching, with the new venture taking shape in Broadgate as plenty of beer lovers get ready to descend upon the city centre this week. Get ready for Liverpool’s Oktoberfest, a five days celebration of all things Bavarian with thousands of guests. Oktoberfest Liverpool will see a party tent set up in Exchange Flags, with a world of lederhosen, dirndls, schnitzels, exclusive beer tastings and true German hospitality. HOLGATE -- Eileen Hohenbrink, 94, died Friday, August 21, 2015, at 7:45 p.m. at Vancrest of Holgate, Ohio. She was born June 11, 1921, to Albert and Clara (Laubenthal) Giesige in New Bavaria, Ohio. In August 1939, Eileen married Bert Hohenbrink at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a graduate of Holgate High School. She is survived by her son, Edward (Shirley) Hohenbrink of Defiance; and her daughter, Linda (Jim) Bernicke of Napoleon, Ohio. Read more [...]
