Zehnder’s Snowfest 2015: See the full schedule here, including sculptures …

FRANKENMUTH, MI — The stream of tourists making their way to Frankenmuth doesn’t stop during the winter months.

In fact, Little Bavaria might see some of its biggest crowds each year during Zehnder’s Snowfest, which kicks off Wednesday, Jan. 21.

Downtown Frankenmuth will fill with plenty of attractions to welcome guests, including live entertainment, snow and ice sculptures, children’s play areas and more.

The wintry fun continues through Sunday, Jan. 26.

Here’s a look at all you can experience during the 24th annual Zehnder’s Snowfest:

Wednesday, Jan. 21

  • Snow carvers work throughout the day on their double and single block sculptures located all around the Zehnder’s building, 730 S. Main.
  • Children snow sculpting takes place at Frankenmuth River Place, 925 S. Main.
  • The State of Michigan snow sculpting contest starts at 6 p.m. on Main Street, next to the Bavarian Inn Restaurant, 713 S. Main.
  • The warming tent is open from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., offering food, refreshments, exhibit boots and entertainment.
  • The annual Michigan’s Favorite Apple Recipe Contest takes place 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the warming tent.
  • MLive Media Group Snowfest Celebration takes place 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The event is free for invited guests.

Thursday, Jan. 22

  • Public voting begins as the World Class Snow Sculpting Competition continues with double and single block carving teams continue constructing their masterpieces in the Zehnder’s parking lot, 730 S. Main.
  • The warming tent opens at 10 a.m., with food, beverages, exhibit booths and entertainment. 
  • The warming tent will host Snowfest Battle of the DJs from 9 p.m. until midnight, featuring DJs from 102.5 WIOG and CK105.5. Admission is free for the battle, which is open to those 18 and older.
  • Children’s snow sculpting continues at Frankenmuth River Place, 925 S. Main.
  • High School Snow Sculpting Competition begins 9 a.m. at Frankenmuth River Place, 925 S. Main.
  • Dueling pianos luncheon takes place at 11:30 a.m. inside Zehnder’s, 730 S. Main. Tickets are $35 and can be reserved by caling 1-800-863-7999 ext. 450.

Friday, Jan. 23

  • Snow carvers continue their work, with the world class competitors using their last 24 hours to perfect their various sculptures, located all around the Zehnder’s building, 730 S. Main. Wanna vote for the best? You can cast your vote all day.
  • High school teams, who started their work Thursday, Jan. 23, continue to construct their pieces of snow art from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Frankenmuth River Place, 925 S. Main. While you’re there, also check for the children’s sculptures.
  • The State of Michigan snow sculpting contest continues right on Main Street, next to the Bavarian Inn Restaurant, 713 S. Main. Voting on the state sculptures begins today.
  • The warming tent is open from 10 a.m. until midnight, offering a plethora of activities to keep you warm, fed and entertained. The live entertainment starts from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. with the Swift Brothers. Other entertainment includes a 3 p.m. performance by the 338th Army Patriotic Band, the 6 p.m. finals of the WKCQ Karaoke Contest and live music from the Moonshine Mavericks Band from 8 p.m. until midnight. Face painting is available from noon until 5 p.m. for a small fee.  Those 13 and up entering the tent after 6 p.m. will face a $5.00 cover charge. Food, beverages and a photo booth are also available inside the tent.
  • The Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan visits the warming tent from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Attendees can meet players, coaches and staff members during a question and answer session. Admission is free.
  • Anyone can ride a musical carousel for just $2.00. The ride is located in the Zehnder’s parking lot.
  • Collegiate ice carving competitors show off their skills from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the “Under the Stars competition at the Edwin L. Zehnder Park.
  • A children’s play area will offer up $2 pony rides and a free petting zoo from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. next to the Frankenmuth Toy Company, 618 S. Main.
  • Children’s inflatables are set up from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Frankenmuth River Place, 925 S. Main.
  • Chicken bowling and concessions available from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce, 635 S. Main.

Saturday, Jan. 24

  • World class snow sculpting competitors, as well as state of Michigan sculptors must stop their work by 10 a.m. The public is invited to view the finished creations. Awards are handed out at 2 p.m. inside the warming tent.
  • The warming tent is once again open from 10 a.m. until midnight, with classics day. Live music includes the 338th Army Rock Band from 10 a.m. until noon, The Rock Show from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and Jedi Mind Trip from 8 p.m. until midnight. A $5 cover charge is once again in effect after 6 p.m. Food, beverages, magic shows, face painting and more are also available inside the tent.
  • The children’s play area offers up a free petting zoo from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., with $2 pony rides scheduled for noon to 6 p.m.
  • Musical carousel rides are available for $2 in the Zehnder’s parking lot.
  • The U.S. National Collegiate Ice Carving Competition starts at 3 p.m. at Edwin L. Zehnder Park.
  • The annual fireworks display will light up the Frankenmuth sky starting at 6:45 p.m.
  • Children’s inflatables are set up from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Frankenmuth River Place, 925 S. Main.
  • Chicken bowling and concessions available from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce, 635 S. Main.
  • The Frankenmuth Jaycees will operate a dunk tank from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce.

Sunday, Jan. 26

  • The public is invited to view all of the completed snow sculptures.
  • The U.S. National Collegiate Ice Carving Competition continues from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in Edwin L. Zehnder Park.
  • The warming tent opens for one last day from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., offering food, beverages, face painting, magic shows and a performance by The Sauce Cats from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
  • The children’s play area offers $2 pony rides and a free petting zoo from noon until 5 p.m.
  • Musical carousel rides for $2 each are taking place from noon until 5 p.m.
