In many parts of Germany people woke up this morning to find themselves in some kind of winter wonderland. During the night and in the early morning hours first snow was falling in Saxony, Thuringia, parts of Hesse and Bavaria. Commuters had a hard time to make their way through the Taunus, near Frankfurt.
