Wilma M. Zachrich, 93, of Defiance, and formerly of New Bavaria, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance.
She was born Jan. 29, 1921, to Henry and Margaret (Hulstede) Wolf, in Pleasant Township. She married Alvin Zachrich, Nov. 22, 1941, and he died in August 1980.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Jean) Zachrich of New Bavaria; two daughters, Diane (Richard) Greene of Tiffin and Debra (Daniel) Nofziger of Archbold; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Bauer.
Wilma graduated from Holgate High School in 1938 and then attended business school. She was a devoted homemaker and managed the family farm. Wilma was a member of Pleasent Bend United Methodist Church, where she played the organ and piano for 60 years. She also was a member of the board of elections and United Methodist Women, and lifelong member of the Linger Longer Club. She enjoyed playing dominos and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral today, Jan. 5, 2015, at Zachrich Funeral Home 114 William St., Holgate, OH 43527. Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens.
