The Tunisian national team won its last World Cup warm-up on Wednesday (7 June) against the local German team of Bavaria, 4-0. The goals were scored by Zied Jaziri in 27 and 53 minutes, Kaïs Ghodbane in the 58 minute and Yacine Chikhaoui in the 76 minute. Brazilian-born striker Francileudo dos Santos assisted Jaziri in the opening goal, but injured his knee. Santos has scored 18 goals in 28 matches for Tunisia since 2004 when he joined the team. Coach Roger Lemerre said he is not concerned about the injury, and Santos should be fit for the team’s 14 June opening game against Saudi Arabia. (La Presse, AP, Reuters, BBC)
