In a statement late on Sunday, police rushed to the quiet St. Johannis residential district on the edge of town at about 9:30 pm after reports of shots fired.
They found three bodies lying beside parked cars.
Emergency doctors called to the scene confirmed the deaths.
One person was found alive, seriously but not life-threateningly wounded, not far from the scene of the killings, police said.
He is currently being treated for his injuries.
Officers found a single firearm close to the trio of bodies.
“We can’t currently comment on the circumstances of the crime nor on the victims,” a police spokesman said, adding that the investigation had only just begun.
But detectives are proceeding on the assumption that those involved in the shooting all knew one another. There is no evidence that anyone else was involved in the incident.
