My client manufactures complex ICs for infotainment systems in the automotive segment, including wireless and power management technologies. They’re currently looking for an experienced systems architect in Bavaria, with an automotive semiconductor background and knowledge of the infotainment marketplace.

Responsibilities will include:

– Working closely with design teams to define products

– Carrying out competitor analyses, and creating strategies on how to position products

– Taking ownership of a product line

– Providing an interface between customers, sales, marketing, designers/engineers, and key partners

This is therefore a very technical position, but one which also requires the ability to deliver presentations to executives/stakeholders and manage tier-1/OEM accounts.

The ideal background will consist of:

– An electronics degree

– Automotive system level understanding, but with a background in silicon

– Expertise in the infotainment area

– Commercial experience (eg. in marketing or business development)

– The willingness to travel internationally

This is a really interesting vacancy which will undoubtedly provide new challenges to someone looking for a global remit and accountability over a product line.

The role is easily commutable from central Munich, and will offer exposure to a wide network of key customers in the automotive market.
