Suspect named in deadly south Nashville shooting

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) –

Metro police have identified a man suspected in a deadly shooting Thursday at the parking lot of a south Nashville apartment complex.

Officers were called about 2:30 p.m. to the Bavaria Apartments in the 4500 block of Packard Drive, near Apache Trail.

Tahj Brown, 24, was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say Brown is believed to have met with 20-year-old Anthony O. Alexander inside a white Dodge Avenger in the parking lot for a drug deal. Brown was then shot and pushed out of the car, which fled the area.

Alexander, who has a previous felony conviction, is last known to have lived on Ewingdale Drive and remains on the run. Police said he is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Police said they located the Dodge sedan Friday and it was impounded.
