sixx to launch on DTT in Bavaria

German TV group ProSiebenSat.1 is carrying out the planned expansion of the digital terrestrial distribution of its channels, with women’s channel sixx becoming available via DTT in Bavaria on 1 June 2013.

Bavarian media authority BLM granted ProSiebenSat.1 a licence for DTT transmission of sixx valid until 31 May 2014 at its latest assembly in Munich. The channel will broadcast on DTT channel 52 in Munich and southern Bavaria, and in Nuremberg on channel 60.

ProSiebenSat.1 recently extended the contract for the DTT distribution of its channels in Germany until 2018 and announced it would use the DTT capacities vacated through the retreat of RTL and other broadcasters to increase the reach of its own channels.
