Bavaria, a 300 year old independently owned brewery, today announced that PizzaExpress is now serving one of the UK’s only true non-alcoholic beers Bavaria 0.0% Original, in its UK restaurants.

This is the only alcohol-free beer PizzaExpress offers. It will provide customers with a wider choice of food and drink options.

Independent research suggests that non-alcoholic beer consumption has been steadily rising in the UK, with one in seven (14%) regular British beer buyers also purchasing non-alcoholic beer over a 12 month period – this rises to over a quarter (26%) of 18-34 year-olds in the same timeframe. PizzaExpress has responded to this demand and with Bavaria 0.0% Original, offers their customers its authentic pilsner taste, clear hop flavour, full body and strong bite.

Bavaria 0.0% Original is a truly zero alcohol beer. Where other non-alcoholic beers are brewed with alcohol that is later stripped out, Bavaria 0.0% Original is brewed without alcohol all through the process. It is brewed with four natural ingredients, no artificial sweeteners and with certified mineral water from Bavaria’s own spring. In addition, aside from offering a refreshing non-alcoholic accompaniment to PizzaExpress’ menu, Bavaria 0.0% Original has almost half the calories of a regular glass of beer, 68% less sugar than most fruit juices and 41% fewer calories than the average soft drink or soda.

Rob Page, managing director at Bavaria UK, said: “Bavaria and PizzaExpress are the perfect fit. Both businesses were founded with a vision to produce fresh and well-crafted products. Both PizzaExpress and Bavaria are fully committed to bringing choice, quality and authenticity to our customers.”
