Oktoberfest begins at Grand Hyatt Muscat

Grand Hyatt Muscat on October 30 began its fourth annual Oktoberfest celebrations at its Rooftop Grill restaurant with invited guests, members of the German community in Oman and diplomatic representatives in attendance.

The Hofbrauhaus Oompah band, which has travelled from Bavaria, Germany, will entertain guests and diners during the festival which will end on November 9.

Diners will be treated to a range of German culinary treats from specially designed set menus.

In a statement, Christoph Franzen, the general manager of Grand Hyatt Muscat, thanked those involved in bringing the event to fruition and said that he was confident that it would once again prove to be a success. “We proudly welcome the fourth annual Oktoberfest and really look forward to a highly successful ten-day Bavarian festival,” he said.

The final day of Oktoberfest at the hotel will see a traditional Bavarian brunch at the Mokha Cafe, with entertainment provided by the Oompah band.
