Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic began his working visit to Munich at the Business Forum, where he spoke with representatives of thirty Bavarian companies, including Siemens, Airbus Defence and Space, Tönnies, Osram, Philip Morris and others.
The meeting was organised by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Munich, and the talks were attended by representatives of the automotive, metal and electrical industry.
Vucic told the media after the Business Forum that Bavaria is one of the economically strongest provinces in Germany and that he expected great effects of this visit.
Siemens today announced that it will hire another 220 people in its factory in Subotica. They do it for profit, but also because of excellent workforce in Serbia, Vucic said.
We discussed our economic measures and the more difficult, but a safer way for the future that we have opted for. Another company has expressed interest to invest in Serbia and employ two to three thousand people, the Prime Minister said.
Vucic will today meet with Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer and Minister for European Affairs and International Relations Beate Merk and numerous Bavarian businessmen.
