Mobile UI Designer
Nestled in the heart of Bavaria, my client is one of Europe’s most prolific and secure independent social games developers. They?ve been around since the late noughties and have taken great pride in crafting some of the highest quality casual gaming experiences on the market with their titles having now having been played over 10 BILLION times!!!
Thanks to their success they are now looking to begin the next stage of their development with an expansion of their product portfolio to encompass mid-core as well as casual gaming experiences. For this they are looking to hire a number of highly accomplished developers to join their already talented team, including an experienced Mobile UI Designer.
Overview
The Mobile UI Designer will work closely with cross-functional teams (Production, Art, Engineering, QA, Marketing / Sales, Biz Dev, etc) to create and implement UI / graphic design for primarily mobile games but may be required to also contribute to Canvas and web based titles.
The UI Designer will create highly user friendly assets with a consistent style throughout any given project.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
– At least 5 years of games UI experience, including both iOS and Android
– Demonstrable graphic design skills with expert knowledge of user interface design best practice, and interactive design fundamentals.
– Deep understanding of layout, typography, color theory, mobile and interactive design fundamentals
– Ability to create art assets (especially icons) matching existing art styles – UI components, in-game HUD elements, menus, icons, and other 2d and 3d game assets etc
– Strong ability to communicate ideas through mock-ups, wireframes flow diagrams and prototypes
– Ability to follow through and see projects to completion, working independently and as a team
– Good understanding of the limits of mobile technologies and game development process
– Maintain consistent style
– Ability to communicate visually, and to identify and define visual design issues and solutions
– An excellent portfolio
