EnlargeRendering of Cafe Hollander, opening on the corner of Mequon Town Center
Mequon Town Center opens its first phase this summer, welcoming its first residential tenants this July as construction on its incoming Cafe Hollander gets underway.
It’s the third area location for Hollander, part of the Lowlands Restaurant Group chain that also includes Cafe Bavaria and Cafe Centraal. The new restaurant features extensive outdoor dining, including on the second floor, as well as an outdoor courtyard, a fountain and windows/doors designed to open almost the entire restaurant during summer. It will also include a “bike corral” that holds more than 20 bicycles.
The two-story cafe will be at the corner of the development on Mequon Road and Cedarburg Road. The Mequon Town Center will also have a Colectivo coffee shop and Ruby Tap wine bar and restaurant. The development’s first phase broke ground this fall and will open its two-story commercial-residential building in June. Tenants begin moving in this July.
The retail, restaurant and other components that begin opening in June are Forward Dental, Elements Massage, Health in Balance Physical Therapy and Yoga, Fisher Family Chiropractic, Supercuts, and Leo and Lou, which is moving from its current location at Glendale’s Bayshore Town Center.
WiRED Properties and Shaffer Development are leading the project, and Milwaukee’s Siegel‐Gallagher has been tapped to manage the property.
