PARMA, Ohio — A man died in a house fire early Sunday on Bavaria Avenue in Parma.
The man’s identity has not been released, but a fire spokesman said investigators believe he was the homeowner.
No one else was inside the home at the time, the fire spokesman said.
The fire happened about 4:30 a.m. at a home in the 5700 block of Bavaria Avenue.
Firefighters from Parma and Parma Heights arrived at the house and saw heavy smoke and flames emanating from the upstairs.
Crews managed to put out the fire within a few minutes, and most of the damage was contained to the upstairs, the fire spokesman said.
Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire, the fire spokesman said.
