NEW BAVARIA — Lynn A.L. Matthews, 59, of New Bavaria, died Saturday afternoon, November 14, 2015, in his daughter’s home.

Lynn was born August 24, 1956, to Charles Albert and Dorma Jean (Bland) Matthews.

He was formerly employed by Sims Manufacturing, Payne, Ohio. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his children, Stacy Matthews Hasch, New Bavaria, Brandy (Robert) Nagel, New Bavaria, Shelby Matthews, Bucyrus and Jesse Matthews, Bucyrus; grandsons, Tristen Dingus, Jordan Nagel, Caydin Matthews, Jeradt Nagel, James Hasch, Jr. and Zavier Nagel; siblings, Elvene (Justus) Holtsberry, Oakwood, Ohio, Gordon Matthews, Sturgis, Mich., John (Edna) Matthews, Bryan, Ohio, Ronald Matthews, Cecil, Ohio, Dana (Teresa) Matthews, Broughton, Ohio, Jerry Matthews, Cecil, Ohio, and Jody Matthews, Payne, Ohio; and a sister-in-law Peggy Matthews, Miller City, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chucky Matthews Jr. and Lee Alan Leon Matthews; a sister, Wilda Justine Matthews; and a sister-in-law, Beth Ann Matthews.

Friends will be welcomed into the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate, on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at noon, with Reverend Dale Kern officiating.
