Reports in Italy suggest that the Old Lady are keen to play on the Swiss star’s unhappiness in Bavaria by tempting him to Turin with a £15m move.
The news will frustrate Brendan Rodgers who is hoping to add further attacking talent to his squad ahead of next season.
Shaqiri, who scored a hat-trick for Switzerland against Honduras at the World Cup, wants to leave Bavaria because of his lack of playing time behind Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
Bayern sporting director Matthias Sammer recently said that Shaqiri will be staying at the Allianz Arena next season, saying: “Xherdan is an important player for the future.
“There are no thoughts at all about selling him.”
