“Anneli-Marie R” (full name has not been released), was the daughter of a wealthy businessman, and was held subject to a one million euro ransom.
Anneli-Marie R. was snatched off the street last week in the city of Meissen as she walked her dog.
A police blackout on the abduction was lifted on Monday after weekend negotiations with the kidnappers broke down.
“All of our hopes and prayers were not answered”, Dresden police spokesman Dieter Kroll said.
Media reports say the body was found in a farmyard near the village of Klipphausen, in the east of Germany.
One is a 61-year-old precious metal dealer from Dresden and the other a 39-year-old unemployed chef from Bavaria.
Police have arrested two suspects, aged 39 and 61, officials said earlier on Tuesday.
Sniffer dogs led police to an area but the girl was nowhere to be seen.
The teen’s dog was found the same evening but there was no trace of Anneli-Mari – and her family received a ransom demand shortly after the teen disappeared, according to police.
Anneli’s bike was found in a ditch and her dog was reportedly found alive in a field on Monday afternoon.
In June, gangsters kidnapped the handicapped elderly son of Reinhold Wuerth, a billionaire industrialist, in Germany and demanded £1.5million.
They added: “The kidnappers should know that we will fulfill the stipulated demands in order to be able to have our child back in our arms soon”.
They are now both in the care of police psychologists.
