Kabel Deutschland upgrades Bavarian homes

KDG logo on wallVodafone-owned cable operator Kabel Deutschland has introduced high-speed internet services in Beilngries, Greding and Kinding in Bavaria, providing speeds of up to 100Mbps to about 4,200 households.

The operator has been engaged in a state-wide upgrade of its Bavarian networks since 2011 and now offers high-speed services to about 500,000 homes, mostly in rural areas.

Kabel Deutschland CEO Manuel Cubero said that the company would be able to provide 100Mbps services to 70% of all homes in Bavaria by March 2015.
