NEW BAVARIA — Jeannene Borer, 77, of New Bavaria, died in her home on Tuesday morning, January 29, 2013.

Her Legacy… She was born June 4, 1935, to Cletus and Marie Like. On October 11, 1958, she married Gerald I. Borer in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria. Jeannene was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rosary Altar Society, and the election board for many years.

Her Family… She is survived by daughters, Suzette Newman of Napoleon, Cheryl Kuhn of Holgate and Theresa (Terry) Gineman, Holgate; sons, Scott (Terry) Borer, Chesapeake, Va., and Jerome Borer, New Bavaria; eight grandchildren, Darrell Kuhn, Shawna Sonnenberg, Brad Borer, Paige, Allison, and Adrienne Gineman, and Amanda and Dylan Borer; and one great-great-granddaughter, Grace Sonnenberg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; and her parents.

Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, Holgate, on Friday from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m., with a rosary service being held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria, with Father Stephen Stanbery officiating.
