27 de mayo de 2015, 11:26Berlin, May 27 (Prensa Latina) A week and a half ahead of the G7 summit in Germany, anti-capitalist activists will present today their action plans to protest the controversial meeting.
The summit of the seven most influential nations in the world will be held on June 7-8 at the castle Elmau, around 100 kilometers south from Munich, capital city of Bavaria.
Simultaneously, the activists announced to analyze a lawsuit that prohibits to set up a protest camp against the G7 summit in the Bavarian city of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where a non-governmental alliance has planned a demonstration for June 6.
Besides, the alliance announced other activities against the G7 meeting and especially against its neoliberal and militaristic policy.
The prohibition of the protest camp caused criticism by the organizers and the German opposition.
Officially, authorities justify the prohibition with a supposed danger of floods. However, those who criticize the G7 and called to the protest believe that it is a political decision to hinder the movement.
In recent weeks, the police and Interior Ministry representatives launched a crackdown against the protest movement, asserting that violent activists had planned to travel to Bavaria.
Before the demonstrations, the authorities and the police caused fear, speaking about violent protests, said the alliance in its website.
According to official announcements, more than 1,500 police agents will be in charge of the security during the summit.
