Louis van Gaal may only have been our manager for a matter of months but already someone has their eyes on his job.

Apparently, over in Bavaria, a certain Pep Guardiola has his eyes on the Old Trafford hot-seat.

Now we`re not inferring that the Spaniard is ready to vacate the Allianz Arena and head to Old Trafford in the coming months, it appears his desires are more long term and have only come to light in his recently released book, entitled Pep Confidential.

Once his work at Bayern Munich is complete Guardiola sees his career following a pattern, a pattern that has already seen him follow Louis Van Gaal to Bavaria and inherit a project that was started by our current manager.

In his book Guardiloa is portrayed as a workaholic and an obsessive man always doubting himself in his drive to keep on winning and it ha sto be said he has the credentials to one day manage our fine club, but will, somewhere down the line, will he get his wish, that is the all-important question!
