It is the world’s largest funfair festival held annually in Munich, Bavaria in Germany, and for the first time, the Oktoberfest will be celebrated in Accra next month at the German Cultural Centre, Goethe Institute.

The Oktoberfest is a beer drinking festival with German food and music to accompany any beer drink.

The two day event will start on Friday, October 17, and end on Saturday. There will be live bands on both days. Peter Somuah and his Orleans Crew band will be in action and Friday and on Saturday, the BigShots crew will take over.

“Oktoberfest music will be played throughout the two days event,” a member of the organising team told the Daily Graphic.
