HOLGATE — Eileen Hohenbrink, 94, died Friday, August 21, 2015, at 7:45 p.m. at Vancrest of Holgate, Ohio.

She was born June 11, 1921, to Albert and Clara (Laubenthal) Giesige in New Bavaria, Ohio. In August 1939, Eileen married Bert Hohenbrink at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a graduate of Holgate High School.

She is survived by her son, Edward (Shirley) Hohenbrink of Defiance; and her daughter, Linda (Jim) Bernicke of Napoleon, Ohio. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert; and two sisters, Freida Kroeckel and Cecelia Tule.

Friends may call at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home from 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Eileen at St. Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 26, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens.
