germany, bavaria, drive by shooting

Gun violence is often thought of as an American problem, at least when it comes to the Western world, but the New Zealand Herald is reporting that two people died in a drive-by shooting in Germany. The suspect has been captured.

The shootings took place in the southern state of Bavaria, and appears to be part of a rampage. The man was subdued by two mechanics, who managed to overpower him and take his gun away. The attacks took place in two separate towns in Germany, with a 72-year-old male cyclist losing his life, and an 82-year-old driver losing her life. The shooter also fired shots at other people, but luckily missed his mark.
