SHARJAH: Sheikha Hoor Al Qasimi, President of Sharjah Art Foundation, headed a high-level delegation in an official visit to Munich, where the delegation met with important figures from the Bavarian Arabian Society. The visit aimed at enhancing the strong economic and cultural ties between Sharjah and Bavaria.

In her welcoming speech, Sheikha Hoor highlighted the vital importance of Sharjah’s arts and culture sector and spoke about the growing success of the Sharjah Biennial.

She also elaborated on the work of the foundation, which includes initiatives such as residencies, production grants, commissions and exhibitions, to enhance international partnerships.

Several senior representatives also addressed attendees, specifically remarking on the continued support of His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for initiatives relating to education, culture and tourism.
