Convicted Felon Wanted In Bavaria Apartments Shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A warrant has been issued for a convicted felon after a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in Nashville.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said a warrant was issued for 20-year-old Anthony O. Alexander on Friday.

Police said he has been accused of shooting and killing Tahj Brown in a drug related incident at the Bavaria Apartments in south Nashville on Thursday. They said Brown was shot after getting into a white Dodge Avenger.

The suspected vehicle has since been recovered.

Investigators said Alexander is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous. His last known residence was on Ewingdale Drive in Nashville.

According to police, the suspect was convicted of aggravated assault in June of 2013 for a gun-related crime and was sentenced to four months’ probation.
