NEW BAVARIA — Mr. and Mrs. John Gilgenbach, of New Bavaria, are celebrating 40 years of marriage today, Sept. 21, 2014. They are planning a camping trip and a dinner with their children.

Gilgenbach and the former Carolyn Verhoff were married Sept. 21, 1974, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in North Creek.

They are the parents of four children, Brad (Julie) Gilgenbach, of New Bavaria, Brian (Jill) Gilgenbach and Stacy (Ryan) Knueve, both of Leipsic and Nick (Ali) Gilgenbach, of Columbus Grove. They have 10 grandchildren.

Gilgenbach is employed by Blanchard Valley Health System, in Findlay. His wife is employed by Defiance College, in Defiance.
