Global Screen parent Bavaria Media, which restored the 1978 drama, is handling the title in German-speaking territories.
Fedora stars William Holden as a down-on-his-luck Hollywood producer desperately trying to lure the reclusive actress Fedora (Marthe Keller) out of retirement to play in his new film. Henry Fonda, Hidegard Knef and Michael York also star.
The new HD-restored version of Fedora follows Bavaria’s successful re-issues of of such classics as Jerzy Skolimowski‘s Deep End and Rainer Werner Fassbinder‘s Berlin Alexanderplatz.
Oliver Films has already picked up North American rights for Fedora. Eurovideo will release the film in Germany with Carlotta Films handling France.
