Cafe Bavaria, the newest restaurant from the Lowlands Group, will open to the public Feb. 16, according to an email from the company.

The restaurant at 7700 Harwood Ave., Wauwatosa, is next to the company’s Cafe Hollander in the village neighborhood of Wauwatosa. It will have a casual German theme, including German-style sausages and pretzels, sandwiches, salads and entrees. It also will offer weekend brunch.

Mike Eitel, a Lowlands Group partner, described it to me as a “fun, light, not-your-grandfather’s sort of” German bar and restaurant in a Nov. 22 Table Talk column. Click here to read the rest of the column.

Lowlands also owns Cafe Centraal, Cafe Benelux, Trocadero Gastrobar and a second Cafe Hollander in Milwaukee.
