Sofia. Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov met with Prime Minister of the Free State of Bavaria Horst Seehofer, who arrived on an official visit to Bulgaria on Friday. The two prime minister will hold a private talk at the Council of Ministers’ office.
After the talks between the two prime ministers the Bulgarian and Bavarian government delegations held a plenary meeting.
On behalf of Bulgaria the talks were attended by Deputy Prime Minister in Coalition Politics and Public Administration and Interior Minister Rumiana Bachvarova; Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds and Economic Policy Tomislav Donchev; Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova.
“Bulgaria has a very successful and content prime minister,” said Prime Minister of the Free State of Bavaria Horst Seehofer after meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart.
“Bulgaria and Bavaria are friendly states. We exchanged opinions on all current issues. I also greeted the Bulgarian Prime Minister on the development of Bulgaria and the policy he conducts. There is much to be said, there are many positive data in terms of the state budget, the economic growth, the investments and the protection of the external borders,” Mr Seehofer remarked.
The Bavarian Prime Minister commented further that the Bulgarian counterpart and he were unanimous about the policy on the refugees needed for the future.
“We will do our best to strengthen our relations in the field of economy. All the reforms and the entire development in Bulgaria are highly important for the investors. I think that the investors may place trust in Bulgaria,” Horst Seehofer remarked.
“We hope that more investors from Bavaria and Germany will come to Bulgaria,” Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said after the meeting.
“I hope that Mr Seehofer’s words said in Bulgaria will reach more Bavarian, German companies so as the engine of Germany, your industry, to bring as much investments as possible in Bulgaria in every field of interest,” Mr Borisov remarked.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister pointed out that the trust and cooperation should be on high level.
“I hope that what you are about to see – our industrial park, is the latest one to accumulate more companies,” Boyko Borisov said further.
