Move over turkey and bring on the Christmas trees.

Families made their way to the Bavarian Tree Farm in Tallahassee. A ten acre lot of assorted pine trees.

This is owner’s Franco and Ingrid Camacho’s 13th year in the business. They started it because of their love for the holiday.

“I’m Costa Rican, I like Christmas. My wife is from Bavaria, South Germany, they love Christmas and that’s when we decided to sell Christmas trees. Not only for the money but because we like Christmas,” said Franco Camacho.

Here at the tree farm shoppers get a hands on experience. They pick the tree of their choice and cut it down themselves. There are even small trees for kids to pick out.

Some people of the people that come to the tree farm say they not only coem to get an authentic christmas tree but they also coem to create lasting memories with their families.

“It’s really neat knowing that what we have in the hosue is something that we cut down, and it gives it a little more of a personal touch so it’s good family time togeher and that’s what’s important,” said Larry Bourdeau a nine year customer of Bavarian Tree Farm.

And for Franco and Ingrid the smiles on their customers faces makes everyday worthwhile.

“We celebrate big and everywhere you see Christmas, Christmas, Christmas and it’s just beautiful,” said Ingrid Camacho.

The Bavarian Tree Farm is open from now until Christmas Eve from 9am-6pm.
