The Delegation is organizing the visit together with the Bavarian Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology and the Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Middle Franconia.

Besides talks with Serbia’s state officials, a meeting with representatives of Serbian companies will also be organized.

As noted in the release, that will be a good opportunity for stepping up economic cooperation.

The active economic cooperation between Bavaria and Serbia began in 1970, when the standing commission Serbia-Bavaria was formed, which, apart from a pause in the period from 1991-2001, is still operational.

With 12.5 million inhabitants, Bavaria is the second most populous German state, which has the strongest economy. Through a great number of its firms, Bavaria has been present in the Serbian market for decades.

The Bavarian economic delegation will be led by Head of the foreign trade department at the Bavarian Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology Ulrike Wolf and CEO of the Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Middle Franconia Markus Loetzsch.
