A number of new aerial lifts were unveiled earlier this month at the fourth annual BühnenWies’n access event in Oberbechingen, Bavaria, Germany.

Although small in size, with a total of 150 visitors, the event boasted a large display of powered access equipment, with products from several manufacturers including Aichi, Bluelift, Bronto, Niftylift, ATN, Denkalift, TCA Falcon, GSR, Tima, Airo, Europelift and PB Lifttechnik.

PB added to its ECO series range with the introduction of a 24 metre S240-24 scissor lift, while GSR unveiled the 13.6 metre E140P mounted on a Piaggio compact chassis. Offering a 6.1 metre outreach, it features variable outriggers, an optional insulated basket and a gross vehicle weight of 2,200kg.

Niftylift’s latest boom, the HR28 Hybrid was also on show in the livery of German rental company Cramer Arbeitsbühnen, which took delivery of the very first unit production earlier this month.

Organised with a similar ethos to industry events such as Platformers’ Days in Germany and Vertikal Days in the UK, the two day show had a very relaxed atmosphere in which customers were able to easily talk on a one to one basis with manufacturers.

A Bavarian networking party also took place involving hearty food, music, the raffle of a Piaggio scooter donated by GSR and Piaggio and, of course, Bavarian beer!
