Bavaria withdraws late bid to join Patrizia’s GBW consortium

The German state of Bavaria has withdrawn plans for a late entry into the consortium led by Augsburg-based listed Patrizia that won the bid to acquire the 32,000-unit GBW housing company at €2.5bn earlier this month. The state wanted to chip in with €50m after the deal was struck.
