Bavaria Yacht’s Cruiser 46 was named European Yacht of the Year at Boot Düsseldorf 2015 and the Sport 450 made its world premiere.
A new service system, Bavaria+, also was unveiled at the show.
The Cruiser 46 was one of 25 yachts nominated in five categories that were extensively tested by a jury of 12 chief editors of European magazines.
“In a highly competitive class, the Cruiser 46 won in the end against many strong candidates because it is the boat with the highest solidity and robustness,” the jury said. “She sails very well, balanced with lots of space, and sets new standards in workmanship and features”
The new Bavaria Sport 450 was also unveiled by CEO Constantin von Bülow. A 450 Open, Hardtop, Softop and a Coupe were on display in the company’s largest motoryacht range.
The new Sport 450 is offered in a two- or three-cabin version. The master cabin in the bow is the same in both versions and offers a king-size bed format with an en-suite head and a separate shower room. There is also a VIP cabin in the two-cabin version, equipped with its own en-suite head and separate shower room.
Two cabins aft are provided in the three-cabin version of the Sport 450 to accommodate as many as six people to sleep comfortably aboard.
Lastly, the builder unveiled a new system for owners and charter customers called Bavaria+, which provides information about the boats and video clips to help with maintenance or other issues that arise. The Bavaria+ package also includes the service history of the yacht. Customers can order additional equipment and spare parts through the new system.
“Bavaria+ is a real added value that we want to create for our customers,” Bavaria head of sales and aftersales Meik Lessig said. “Many of our owners have such precious little free time on their Bavaria. They should be able to focus on enjoyment and easily find all information about their boat, which is now possible with Bavaria+.”
