BATE Borisov beat giants of world football – FC Bayern Munich.

One of the most respected teams lost with the score 1:3.

Andrei Ivanov reports: Today the website of the famous Kicker magazine greets its visitors with an unambiguous headline: “Shame to Bavaria. First defeat from nobody”. The home page of the German daily tabloid Bild reads: “Disappointing capitulation of Bavaria”. The readers, however, were less reticent in their comments.
The transfer of Javi Martinez cost 40 million euros to the Bavarians. This is nearly four annual BATE budgets. But that evening football was played by people, not money.
After the match Jupp Heynckes congratulated his colleague Viktor Goncharenko and complained about the poor conversion of chances.

The actions of the guests were predictable to BATE. There was no permanent pressure throughout the match.

(Vitali Rodionov, FC BATE Borisov forward)
(Viktor Goncharenko, coach of FC BATE Borisov)
After the two rounds of the group stage BATE is the leader in the group. Four matches are ahead, and the results are difficult to predict.
