BAVARIA, Germany (NBC/APTN) — One of the most popular places in Germany these days is a field in the southern part of the country.

Thousands of people have visited a field in Bavaria to take a look a series of crop circles.

A balloonist discovered the ornate design last week, and the news quickly spread throughout Germany and to parts of Europe.

The circle in a wheat field borders the Raisting Satellite Earth Station.

It looks like an ornament with ring-shaped features.

The farmer who owns the field said he didn’t make the circle. He thinks students cut the image with a diameter of 246 feet.
