Bad weather in S. Germany causes accidents, flights cancellation

MUNICH, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) — Icy weather has caused road accidents, flights cancellation in southern German state of Bavaria on Saturday.

Several people were injured in road accidents. In one case, two people were seriously injured in a chain collision on highway A3, according to local police.

Meanwhile, 40 flights at the Munich airport have been canceled because of bad weather, with many others being delayed.

In addition, German logistics and mail service Deutsche Post announced on Saturday their service in the city of Munich would be suspended for one day due to slippery roads.
