Arsonists destroy Bavarian hotel earmarked as home for migrants | The Times

A former hotel earmarked for asylum seekers was gutted by fire in Bavaria in
the early hours of yesterday morning, the latest in a series of attacks on
refugee hostels across Germany.

The fire at the building in the village of Reichertshofen, 40 miles (60km)
north of Munich, followed a petition signed by 1,200 of the 7,780 residents
against housing refugees as the country receives thousands of new arrivals.

At the weekend, shots were fired on two nights at a converted hotel being used
as a hostel for 150 refugees in Böhlen in Saxony, while firebomb attacks
were reported elsewhere
