German operator Amplus has announced an infrastructure cooperation with the community of Aiterhofen. As part of the broadband funding programme in rural areas of Lower Bavaria, municipalities are investing in new data infrastructure. After the first phase of construction, 450 addresses will benefit from the expansion.
Amplus said it is to invest about EUR 350,000 in the expansion in the districts Geltolfing und Niederharthausen as well at the residential area Aitrachwiese. The state of Bavaria will invest EUR 1 million in the expansion in the northern districts and fringe areas where Amplus will provide bandwidth of up to 30 Mbps from next summer.
