A Crappy Day For Convertible Driver in Germany

MAINZ, Germany – For a 26-year-old woman in Germany’s largest state of Bavaria, a joy ride in her Mercedes convertible turned ugly on a recent sunny spring-like day.

Police in the southern German city of Rosenheim said that the valve of a manure-spreading tractor burst apart, while it was driving in front of the unidentified woman’s high-class vehicle on a country road Wednesday.

“The manure sprayed across the road, partly over a train track and onto the convertible Mercedes,” Juergen Thalmeier, spokesman for the Bavarian police in Rosenheim, told NBC News.

A specialized cleaning company and 25 firefighters spent several hours on the closed-off road near Stephanskirchen cleaning up the mess, which the farmer’s vehicle had caused.

Train traffic was also impacted by the “unusual” accident.

“I guess this incident falls under the category ‘S#@* happens,’” Thalmeier said.
